Kling 3.0 is available on kling.ai, Kuaishou’s official site, and the MiniMax H3 model on Hailuo AI, MiniMax’s own app. Both are also sold by third-party platforms (Higgsfield, Magnific, Krea, OpenArt, Pollo AI, and Runway for Kling) and by API providers (fal, Replicate). If you only need one model, the official site is the simplest option and among the cheapest: about $0.40 for a 5-second Kling 3.0 clip at 720p without sound, and $0.63 for 5 seconds of MiniMax H3 in 2K. Aggregators mostly make sense when you want to compare several models on one subscription.
This guide is based on each service’s pricing pages, help centers, terms of service and documentation, all checked Sept. 26, 2026. Prices change often and many are promotional, so the amount shown at checkout is what counts. As of Sept. 26, 2026, none of the links on this page are affiliate links.
Visual examples added Sept. 28, 2026. The screenshots show public controls or the provider’s documentation. The videos below were published by Kling AI and MiniMax: they are provider-selected demonstrations with different scenes and settings. They illustrate what the models can do, rather than a same-prompt comparison.
September 28, 2026 update: Kling 4.0 is rolling out gradually. 4.0 Flash is in limited early access, with 3–20 second clips at 720p. The full Kling 4.0 launch is announced for October; 4K HDR and extension to two minutes are still marked as coming soon. The pricing and examples below cover Kling 3.0 and do not establish 4.0 pricing or access through an aggregator (official release note, checked Sept. 28, 2026).

Kling 3.0 on kling.ai: Models, Pricing and Limits
Kling is developed by the Chinese video platform Kuaishou. The official site has offered Kling 3.0 and 3.0 Omni since early 2026, Motion Control 3.0 since March 4, 2026, native 4K since April 23, 2026, and the faster Kling 3.0 Turbo since June 17, 2026 (release notes). Clips run 3 to 15 seconds.
Free plan. The FAQ on the plans page promises free credits every month to non-subscribers, claimed when you log in and valid for 31 days, without saying how many. Free videos carry a watermark, and 1080p, 4K and video extension are for subscribers only (Kling plans, checked Sept. 26, 2026). Most importantly, commercial use is for paying subscribers: by default, the terms of service prohibit any commercial use of your videos without written permission.
Plans (U.S. dollars, Kling plans, checked Sept. 26, 2026):
| Plan | First month | Monthly after that | Annual | Credits per month |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Basic | Free | Free | – | Monthly credits, amount not published |
| Standard | $6.99 | $8.80 (list price $10) | $79.20/year | 660 |
| Pro | $25.99 | $32.56 ($37) | $293.04/year | 3,000 |
| Premier | $64.99 | $80.96 ($92) | $728.64/year | 8,000 |
| Ultra | $127.99 | $159.99 ($180) | $1,429.99/year | 26,000 |
Every paid plan removes the watermark and allows commercial use; Pro and up also get priority access to new features. Monthly credits are valid for 31 days, and credits bought separately for two years. For annual prices, the cost of a clip on each plan and Kling 4.0 access, see our Kling AI pricing page.
What does a video cost? Kling 3.0 is billed per second: 6 credits per second at 720p and 8 at 1080p without sound, 9 and 12 with native audio, plus 2 for voice control (Kling VIDEO 3.0 guide, checked Sept. 26, 2026). 4K costs 30 credits per second (Kling blog). A 5-second 720p clip without sound therefore costs 30 credits, about $0.40 on Standard (22 clips a month), and 60 credits at 1080p with sound (about $0.80, 11 clips a month).
Where to use it. In the browser, or in the iOS, Android, macOS and Windows apps. The web language menu now also includes French (checked Sept. 28, 2026).
Data. The service is run by Kling AI Pte. Ltd. in Singapore, where data is stored according to its privacy policy (updated April 21, 2026). The terms of service (section 4.7) let Kling use your content to train its models; you can withdraw that permission by emailing support@kling.ai.
API. The Kling API runs on prepaid packages, separate from the subscription: a 100-unit trial package for $9.80 (valid 30 days, 30% off your first purchase), then packages from $700 for 5,000 units valid 180 days. One unit is $0.14 at list price, so 5 seconds of Kling 3.0 at 720p costs $0.42 without sound and $0.63 with sound (checked Sept. 26, 2026).

Hailuo (MiniMax H3) on hailuoai.video: Models, Pricing and Limits
Hailuo AI is MiniMax’s video app. Its MiniMax H3 model (also called Hailuo 3.0), released July 31, 2026, generates up to 15 seconds in 2K with native stereo sound, from text, images, video or audio (MiniMax blog). The app also offers H3 Max (faster, at 480p or 768p), Hailuo 2.3 and earlier versions, Google’s Veo 3.1, and Sora 2, even though OpenAI has shut it down (more on that below).

The public Hailuo generator before sign-in, set to MiniMax H3, 2K and 5 seconds: 60 credits displayed (screenshot taken Sept. 28, 2026). These settings make the per-clip cost easier to interpret.
Free plan. 150 credits when you sign up, according to the homepage (checked Sept. 26, 2026). They expire three days after they’re granted, and downloads carry a watermark (payment policy). The free plan only covers Hailuo’s own models. A 5-second MiniMax H3 clip in 2K costs 60 credits, so that’s two tries.
Plans. Prices in U.S. dollars. Monthly prices are shown at a 30% promotional discount off the list price (Hailuo subscription, checked Sept. 26, 2026):
| Plan | List price | Monthly (shown) | Annual (per month) | Credits per month | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | $0 | – | One-time trial credits | Hailuo models only, watermark |
| Standard | $14.99 | $10.50 | $8.40 ($100.80/year) | 1,000 | About 84 s of H3 in 2K, Veo 3.1 |
| Pro | $54.99 | $38 | $30.40 ($364.80/year) | 4,500 | Several unlimited image models |
| Master | $119.99 | not checked | $71.20 ($854.40/year) | 10,500 | Same perks as Pro, more credits |
| Max | – | not checked | $184 ($2,208/year) | 27,000 | Unlimited Hailuo 2.0 and 2.3 |
What does a video cost? On monthly Standard, the page lists $0.126 per second of H3 in 2K and $0.074 at 768p: about $0.63 and $0.37 for 5 seconds, or roughly fifteen 5-second 2K clips a month. Higher plans lower the per-second price ($0.102 in 2K on monthly Pro).
Rights and terms. Subscribers download without a watermark and keep their rights, including for commercial use (payment policy). Subscription credits expire after a month. The terms of service (updated Aug. 19, 2026) name Nanonoble Pte. Ltd. in Singapore and Singapore law, and give the company a worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable license to the content you upload and generate, including the right to make money from it.
API. On the MiniMax platform, MiniMax H3 costs $0.08 per second at 768p and $0.13 in 2K ($0.40 and $0.65 for 5 seconds), and H3 Max $0.05 at 480p and $0.08 at 768p. Hailuo 2.3 is billed $0.28 per 6-second 768p clip (checked Sept. 26, 2026). MiniMax has also announced that it will release H3’s weights.

Sources: each platform’s pricing page and model catalog, checked Sept. 26, 2026; for Higgsfield, see the full Higgsfield page. Calculation: credits per clip multiplied by the credit price on the plan listed, assuming you use your whole allowance.
A few details:
- Higgsfield charges about 7 credits for a 5-second 720p Kling 3.0 clip and 20 for MiniMax H3, though its own pricing page doesn’t always agree with itself; Starter only unlocks selected models (Higgsfield pricing).
- Magnific is Freepik’s new name since April 2026 (Tech.eu). It charges 450 credits for 5 seconds of Kling 3.0 Pro at 1080p and 200 for MiniMax H3 Max Turbo at 768p; Premium includes 20,000 credits a month, or 44 Kling 3.0 Pro clips. On an annual plan, the whole year’s credits (240,000) arrive up front. Premium+ (€36/month, 45,000 credits) adds credit-free generations on Kling 2.5 and Hailuo 2.3 Fast, but not on Kling 3.0 or H3.
- OpenArt charges 175 credits for 5 seconds of Kling 3.0 or Kling 3 Omni at 720p with sound, and 300 for MiniMax H3 at 768p. Its pricing page shows no free plan, and Starter doesn’t include commercial rights.
- Krea’s free plan (100 units a day) doesn’t include video; only Pro unlocks every video model, Kling included.
- fal also advertises five free MiniMax H3 Max generations a day in its sandbox for signed-in users (MiniMax H3 Max page).
Other tools offer these models alongside their own: Luma, PixVerse, LTX Studio and Adobe Firefly for Kling, and Luma and PixVerse for MiniMax H3 (details in the top 10 AI video tools).
How Much Does a 5-Second Clip Cost on Each Platform?
A summary of the math above for a 5-second clip (Sept. 26, 2026). Settings don’t always match exactly from one platform to the next (resolution, sound), so treat these as ballpark figures.
| Where | Kling 3.0 | MiniMax H3 |
|---|---|---|
| Official site, entry plan | ≈ $0.40 (720p, no sound); ≈ $0.60 with sound | ≈ $0.63 (2K); ≈ $0.37 (768p) |
| Official API | $0.42 (720p, no sound); $0.63 with sound | $0.65 (2K); $0.40 (768p) |
| fal (API) | $0.42; $0.63 with sound | – |
| Replicate (API) | $0.84; $1.26 with sound | $0.65 (2K); $0.40 (768p) |
| Higgsfield (Plus) | ≈ $0.34 (720p) | ≈ $0.98 |
| Magnific (Premium, from France) | ≈ €0.36 before VAT (1080p) | – (H3 Max Turbo 768p: ≈ €0.16) |
| OpenArt (Starter) | ≈ $0.61 (720p, with sound) | ≈ $1.05 (768p) |
Two takeaways. For Hailuo, no middleman beats the official app or MiniMax’s API by any real margin. For Kling, Higgsfield and Magnific land in the same range as the official site per clip (before tax), but with pricier subscriptions up front, and only if you spend all your credits on Kling 3.0. An annual discount can change the calculation but requires upfront payment; the promotion checked September 26 was scheduled to end September 28 and is no longer used in this comparison. Replicate, on the other hand, charges twice what Kling’s official API does.
Official Site or Aggregator: Which Should You Choose?
Go with the official site if:
- you only need one model: Kling Standard at $8.80 and Hailuo Standard at $10.50 a month are among the cheapest ways in, and the official APIs bill you at cost;
- you want every setting and every new feature: kling.ai has all of Kling’s own tools (Elements, multi-shot, voice control, native 4K) and gives Pro subscribers priority access to new features. On an aggregator, a model can arrive later or with fewer options;
- you need support from the model’s maker, for an invoice (Kling issues them from its website) or a credit dispute.
An aggregator is more convenient if:
- you compare several models (Kling, Seedance, Veo, Wan, MiniMax) on the same prompt, from one pool of credits;
- you use its in-house tools: camera presets and Cinema Studio on Higgsfield, shared Spaces and a stock library on Magnific, shot editing (Aleph) on Runway;
- you care about how your data is used: Magnific (Freepik Company, Spain) says it doesn’t train on your data, while Kling and Higgsfield train on your content by default and Hailuo takes a perpetual license to it.
Check these before you pay, wherever you sign up:
- Commercial rights: Kling and Hailuo only grant them with a paid plan, and OpenArt from Plus up.
- Credits: on an aggregator, one pool covers every model, and a few Seedance 2.5 or Veo 3.1 clips drain it fast. Subscription credits usually expire after a month (31 days on Kling, one month on Hailuo, no rollover on Higgsfield or on Magnific’s monthly plans).
- Displayed prices: before tax on Higgsfield, Magnific and Pollo; promotional on Kling (first month), Hailuo (30% off); and sometimes contradictory on the same page (Pollo, Higgsfield).
- Retired models: OpenAI shut down the Sora app on April 26, 2026 and its API on Sept. 24, 2026 (OpenAI help), yet Sora 2 is still listed on Hailuo, Magnific, Higgsfield and Pollo. A reseller depends on its deals with the model’s maker, so don’t pay for a year up front just for one third-party model.
- Lookalike sites: kling.ai is Kling AI’s only domain. kling-o1.pro, for example, is run by a different company, Kling O1 Pro, Inc., according to its own terms.
In practice: for regular work with Kling, a Standard or Pro plan on kling.ai; for Hailuo, the official app; to try several models before committing, one month with no commitment on an aggregator. If you care more about quality than about a specific model, Google Flow and Gemini give you Veo 3.1 and Gemini Omni Flash, which tops the public leaderboards, with a free daily quota in Flow.
FAQ
Is Kling 3.0 free?
Partly. Kling promises free credits every month to non-subscribers but doesn’t say how many; free videos are watermarked and can’t be used commercially. The entry plan costs $6.99 the first month, then $8.80 a month.
Is Hailuo AI free?
Hailuo gives you 150 credits at sign-up, valid for three days: enough for two 5-second MiniMax H3 clips in 2K, with a watermark. The free plan includes no monthly credits after that.
Can I use Kling and Hailuo in the U.S.?
Yes. Both services are sold internationally with prices in U.S. dollars, and Kling’s privacy policy includes a section for California residents. Both are run by companies based in Singapore, and Kling also has iOS, Android, macOS and Windows apps.
Where is Kling 3.0 cheapest?
On kling.ai (about $0.40 per 5-second 720p clip without sound on Standard) or through the official API or fal ($0.42). Higgsfield and Magnific come out in the same range before tax, with pricier plans. Compare any annual discount at checkout, including the commitment and expiry date.
Can I use Kling or Hailuo videos commercially?
Yes, with a paid plan on the official sites. On the free plan, Kling’s terms prohibit it without written permission. On an aggregator, its own terms apply: OpenArt reserves commercial rights for Plus and up, while Higgsfield grants them on every plan.
Do Kling and Hailuo have an API?
Yes. Kling sells prepaid packages (from $9.80 for a trial package), and MiniMax bills H3 per second ($0.08 at 768p, $0.13 in 2K). Both models are also on fal and Replicate. At Kling, the website subscription and the API are billed separately.
