SE Ranking is an SEO suite: daily rank tracking, site audit, backlinks, keyword and competitor research, and reports. It also tracks whether AI assistants mention your brand. The Core plan costs $129 a month, or $103.20 a month billed yearly, for 2,000 keywords and 100 prompts tracked every day. The 14-day trial requires no credit card and doesn’t turn into a paid subscription (pricing commission, checked Oct. 18, 2026).

What Can You Do With SE Ranking?

Track Google and Bing Rankings Every Day

The Rank Tracker checks your positions daily on Google (desktop and mobile), Bing, Yahoo and YouTube, for any city or ZIP code (engines and locations). Tracking is daily and can’t be changed; a button lets you recheck on demand (help center, checked Oct. 18, 2026).

A keyword tracked on two engines or in two cities counts as two keywords. The limit is shared across the account, and a paused project still counts: delete it to free up the quota (billing FAQ).

The AI Results Tracker sends the prompts you choose to AI assistants every day. It records whether your brand is mentioned, whether your site is linked and in what position, and which competitors and sources appear. According to the help center, updated Oct. 15 and 16, 2026, it covers four engines: AI Overviews, AI Mode, ChatGPT and Gemini. The pricing page still lists “5” models tracked, and the help center no longer mentions Perplexity (AI Results Tracker).

Audit a Site and Analyze Backlinks

The site audit crawls up to 250,000 pages per account on Core (2 million on Growth) and flags technical issues. Keyword, competitor and backlink research is listed as unlimited in number of lookups on the pricing page; SE Ranking claims 5.5 billion keywords across 188 country databases (official overview, updated Oct. 15, 2026).

Send White-Label Reports to Clients

The Agency Pack adds white labeling (interface, reports, custom domain and emails), client access, a lead generator and unlimited scheduled reports with AI summaries. It’s only available with a yearly subscription, starting at $69 a month (Agency Pack; help center).

Connect SE Ranking to Claude or a Dashboard

Every plan includes the API, an MCP server to query your data from Claude or another assistant, and connections to Looker Studio, Google Analytics 4 and Search Console (official overview). The trial doesn’t include MCP access.

Tips for Getting Started

• Enter the variants of your brand name in AI tracking (with or without “LLC,” “Group” or “Inc.”), or some mentions will slip through.
• Start small during the trial (750 keywords and 20 prompts a day), then expand once your list is settled.
• Read trends over several weeks, not a single date: AI answers change from one day to the next.
• Delete rather than pause an abandoned project to get its keyword quota back.

Is SE Ranking Free?

No, there’s no permanent free plan. The 14-day trial requires no credit card and includes 10 projects, 750 keywords tracked daily, 20 AI prompts a day and the Agency Pack; it excludes MCP and SE Visible (trial details). Nothing is charged at the end: the trial doesn’t become a subscription (cancellation help, checked Oct. 18, 2026).

Two tools stay free without an account: a rank checker for 5 keywords a day (Rank Tracker) and 5 AI visibility tests a day (AI visibility tracker).

How Much Does SE Ranking Cost?

Dollar prices from SE Ranking’s official affiliate page and help center, and euro prices from its French pricing page, checked Oct. 18, 2026 (viewed from France, the pricing page shows euros). The euro and dollar grids are set separately, not converted. According to the help center, VAT applies in the EU and UK.

Core or Growth: What Changes

Growth raises most limits: 2 million audit pages instead of 250,000, 1,000 On-Page checks instead of 50, 50 articles instead of 25 in the content tool, and full history instead of 6 months in keyword research. It adds guest links for clients, page change monitoring and dedicated support. Each login allows only one session at a time (user seats); extra seats and keywords are priced in euros on the French page (from €14.40 a month per seat), with no dollar price found on an official page.

Content marketing and local SEO (3 locations) are included in Core and Growth.

How Much Does AI Tracking Cost?

Core includes 100 prompts tracked daily, Growth 250. Beyond that, the AI Search add-on is sold as “200 prompts” on the pricing page, but the help center describes 200 checks per month, one check being one prompt on one engine (AI Search help, updated Oct. 16, 2026). If each daily refresh counts, as the help center indicates, 200 checks don’t even cover two prompts tracked daily on four engines (2 × 4 × 30 = 240, our calculation). The help center also says each plan has a monthly check quota, without publishing it for Core or Growth. Ask support for the number before buying the add-on.

SE Visible: SE Ranking’s Separate AI Tool

SE Visible is a separate product for business owners and agencies without deep SEO knowledge: it only tracks your brand in AI answers (mentions, share of voice, sentiment, cited sources). It costs $99 a month, or $79 billed yearly, for 200 prompts (Basic), $189 ($151) for 450 prompts and $355 ($284) for 1,000 prompts, with a 10-day trial (visible.seranking.com, checked Oct. 18, 2026). SE Ranking’s AI Search add-on includes access at no extra cost.

Official sources disagree on several points: the homepage lists 5 engines and 7 countries, while the SE Visible FAQ updated Oct. 16, 2026, lists 4 engines and 42 countries, with daily or weekly tracking. The homepage says answers are collected in a real browser, while the terms of service (sec. 14.6) mention an external aggregator, OpenRouter. What Are SE Ranking’s Limitations?

• Unclear AI tracking: the number of engines (4 or 5) and the check quota are described differently across official pages.
• One session per login: sharing an account across people means buying seats.
• White label is yearly only (Agency Pack), and the number of client seats differs between pages (10 or 30).
• No refunds unless the service fails (see below).
• Prices seen from France: the pricing page shows euros to visitors from France; dollar prices appear on other official pages.

Refunds, Cancellation and Renewal

SE Ranking’s terms of service (updated June 25, 2026) provide:

• no refunds of amounts paid, used or not, unless the service wasn’t provided as promised or under a special promotion (sec. 5.7); in that case, SE Ranking may refund within 14 business days (sec. 5.8);
• cancellation effective at the end of the current period (sec. 10.2), by email or from the Billing area; projects are kept for 60 days, according to the help center;
• automatic renewal announced by email 7 days before, according to the help center; add-ons bought separately are canceled one by one.

The contract is with SER Acquisition Inc. (Delaware) and governed by California law (secs. 11.7, 12 and 13). Payment goes through Stripe (card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, bank debit depending on the country); PayPal isn’t accepted (billing FAQ).

SE Ranking vs. Semrush vs. Ahrefs

Viewed from France on Oct. 18, Semrush only showed euros: the SEO plan’s dollar price is derived from its €134 and the exchange rate in Semrush’s page code, and Starter’s $199 comes from our Oct. 12, 2026, reading. At a similar entry price, SE Ranking Core lists the highest rank tracking and AI prompt limits. These are published limits, not a measure of the quality or freshness of each tool’s keyword and backlink data. Semrush has a limited free plan; Ahrefs a free account, with no trial of paid plans.

Our Take: Who Is It For?

SE Ranking suits a freelancer, small agency or site owner who wants to track a few thousand keywords daily and, on the same plan, their presence in ChatGPT and AI Overviews. The no-card trial lets you check the interface and data on your own site before paying.

• You only want AI tracking, without an SEO suite: compare SE Visible, Ahrefs Brand Radar and Otterly in our AI visibility tools comparison.
