To track how often ChatGPT and Google’s AI Overviews mention your brand, the cheapest options checked are SE Visible, SE Ranking’s dedicated tracker, at $99 a month ($79 billed yearly), and Ahrefs at $100 a month in prompt packs that work on a free Ahrefs account ($50 if you check weekly). Otterly ($189), Peec AI (€205) and Writesonic ($249) cost more for the same volume, Semrush’s prompt tracking does not cover AI Overviews, and Profound no longer sells self-serve plans to brands. Prices come from each vendor’s official pages, checked October 12, 2026.
These tools are often called AI visibility trackers, LLM visibility tools or GEO (generative engine optimization) tools. They send the prompts you choose to AI assistants every day or week and record whether your brand, your pages and your competitors appear in the answers. Only SE Ranking’s interface was opened, on this site’s own account; the other tools are described from their documentation.
Affiliate disclosure: Writesonic and SE Ranking links are affiliate links: Génie Artificiel may earn a commission. Links to SE Visible’s own site and to the other tools are direct. Ahrefs said in 2023 that it has no affiliate program, Peec AI doesn’t pay its partners, no public Profound affiliate program was found, Semrush requires 1,000 monthly visitors, which this site doesn’t have, and Otterly accepts referral partners only on application. The order below follows price for the same tracking volume, not commissions.

Pick by what you already pay for and how much you track:
- You only need AI tracking: SE Visible covers 200 prompts on four or five engines, depending on the page, from $79 a month billed yearly.
- You want SEO rank tracking and AI tracking in one plan: SE Ranking Core includes 100 daily prompts; Semrush One bundles prompts with its SEO suite but leaves out AI Overviews.
- You don’t want a paid SEO plan and check weekly: Ahrefs’ $50 monthly pack works on a free Ahrefs account.
- You only track a handful of prompts: Otterly Lite at $29 covers 15 prompts on four engines.
- You report to a European client in euros: Peec AI bills in euros and adds VAT.
- You also want to rewrite pages from the findings: Writesonic adds content tools to the tracking.
What does tracking 100 prompts cost?
Our reference case: 100 prompts tracked every day on ChatGPT and AI Overviews, in one country and one language. That is 100 × 2 × 30 = 6,000 answers a month, or about 870 if you check weekly. We took the cheapest plan that covers it, before tax:
| Tool | Plan that covers it | Daily tracking, per month | Weekly tracking |
|---|---|---|---|
| SE Visible | Basic (200 prompts, 4 or 5 engines; 7 to 42 countries depending on the page) | $99, or $79 billed yearly | Weekly tracking possible per project, per the Oct. 16, 2026, help center |
| Ahrefs | Custom prompts Growth (7,000 checks a month) | $100 | $50 (Basic, 2,500 checks) |
| SE Ranking | Core (100 prompts a day plus the SEO suite) | $129, or $103.20 billed yearly, if its unpublished check quota covers both engines | Same |
| Otterly.AI | Standard (100 prompts, 4 engines) | $189, or $160 billed yearly | No weekly option listed |
| Peec AI | Pro (150 prompts, 3 engines) | €205, about €174 billed yearly | Enterprise only |
| Writesonic | Basic (100 prompts) | $249, or $199 billed yearly | No weekly option listed |
| Semrush | Cannot track AI Overviews prompts; ChatGPT alone: toolkit plus 2 × 50 prompts | $219, or Semrush One Pro+ at $299 | Enterprise only |
| Profound | Enterprise | Quote | Quote |
These are calculations from published prices, not quotes. SE Visible and Ahrefs are a dollar apart on monthly billing; SE Visible is cheaper billed yearly and Ahrefs is cheaper for weekly checks. Ahrefs counts each prompt on each engine as one check (Claude counts 8), so tracking more engines multiplies its cost, while SE Visible and Otterly include several engines per prompt. SE Visible lists seven countries on its homepage (its FAQ updated Oct. 16, 2026, lists 42): the US, the UK, Canada, France, Germany, the Netherlands and Spain.
The seven tools, one by one
1. SE Ranking and SE Visible – AI tracking with or without an SEO suite
SE Ranking sells two ways to track AI answers (pricing commission):
- SE Visible, a separate AI-only product, starts at $99 a month or $79 billed yearly for 200 prompts checked every day on each engine tracked (about 30,000 answers a month), with a 10-day trial; Core costs $189 ($151) for 450 prompts and Plus $355 ($284) for 1,000 (SE Visible). It says it collects answers through a real browser interface rather than the API (its terms, sec. 14.6, mention the OpenRouter aggregator), covers seven countries and five languages per its homepage (42 countries per the help center updated Oct. 16, 2026), and reports a visibility score, share of voice, average position, sentiment and sources.
- SE Ranking Core, an SEO suite at $129 a month or $103.20 billed yearly, includes 2,000 tracked keywords and 100 prompts tracked daily across four engines per the help center updated Oct. 16, 2026 (AI Overviews, AI Mode, ChatGPT, Gemini), five per the pricing page, with a 14-day trial and no card. Plans and add-ons are detailed in our SE Ranking profile. Its AI Results Tracker FAQ lists mentions, cited links and their position, sources and competitors.
Two inconsistencies to know: SE Ranking’s help center says each plan has a monthly check quota without publishing Core’s, and its AI Search add-on ($89, $179 or $345 a month for 200, 450 or 1,000 prompts) is described as “200 prompts” on the pricing page but “200 checks per month” in the add-on help article; the add-on’s plan card also lists four engines, with Perplexity but without Gemini, while the help center, as updated Oct. 16, 2026, lists four with Gemini and without Perplexity. Ask for the check quota before buying Core for AI tracking.

SE Ranking’s AI Results Tracker on this site’s own account: the 10 prompts suggested by the tool, tracked on ChatGPT in France (first collection, October 12, 2026). The site appears in none of the answers; “No sources” marks answers without source links.
2. Ahrefs Brand Radar – monthly prompt packs on a free account
Ahrefs sells custom prompt tracking as monthly packs that work without a paid Ahrefs plan, on a free Ahrefs account: $50 a month for 2,500 checks, $100 for 7,000 and $250 for 25,000, then $0.020 to $0.010 per extra check. A check is one prompt on one engine in one location for one update, and you choose daily, weekly or monthly updates (Brand Radar help). Lite, Standard and Advanced subscribers already get 150, 300 and 600 checks a month.
It covers AI Overviews, AI Mode, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Copilot; Claude costs 8 checks per prompt. It reports mentions, citations, share of voice against competitors and cited pages. Separately, the Brand Radar index, described as “476M+” prompts on its product page (Ahrefs’ help pages give lower counts), costs $199 a month per platform or $699 for all.
3. Otterly.AI – low entry price, four engines included
Otterly costs $29 a month ($25 billed yearly) for 15 prompts, $189 ($160) for 100 prompts with API and MCP access, and $489 ($422) for 400 prompts, according to the dollar amounts in its pricing page code; its add-ons section states prices are in US dollars, excluding tax. ChatGPT, AI Overviews, Perplexity and Copilot are included; AI Mode and Gemini cost $9 to $149 a month each, Claude $29 to $439, depending on the plan. Users are unlimited, tracking is daily, and the free trial runs 7 days with 50 prompts and no card. Visitors from Europe may see ”€” next to the same amounts.
4. Peec AI – three engines of your choice, priced in euros
Peec AI, based in Berlin, charges €85, €205 or €425 a month for 50, 150 or 350 prompts, each with three engines of your choice among ChatGPT, AI Mode, AI Overviews, Copilot, Gemini and Naver AI, tracked daily; an extra engine costs €30 to €140 a month, or €25 to €115 billed yearly (pricing). It measures visibility, position, sentiment, share of voice and sources, and VAT is added under its terms. Peec contradicts itself: a July page written for AI assistants lists $95, $245 and $495 and, against its own table, says all six engines are included by default. Its comparison page says the trial needs no card; the terms don’t fix its length.
5. Writesonic – tracking plus content tools
Writesonic’s GEO plans cost $99, $249 or $499 a month ($79, $199 or $399 billed yearly) for 50, 100 or 200 prompts, with 50, 300 or 600 tracked responses a day (pricing). Every plan tracks a single market (one language and country); sentiment starts on Growth. By our calculation, Starter’s 50 responses a day for 50 prompts average one response per prompt each day, while Basic’s 300 for 100 prompts average three; Writesonic doesn’t say how responses are split across engines. A 7-day refund applies. See the Writesonic profile for its writing features.
6. Semrush AI Visibility Toolkit – no AI Overviews in prompt tracking
Semrush’s toolkit costs $99 a month with no trial, for 25 prompts tracked daily; each extra 50 prompts cost $60 a month and each user needs a $99 license (AI pricing). Semrush One, which bundles SEO and AI, runs $199, $299 or $549 a month with 50, 100 or 200 prompts and a 7-day trial. Its prompt tracking runs on ChatGPT, AI Mode or Gemini; AI Overviews aren’t offered, and share of voice is measured weekly in a separate report. Semrush suits teams already on its SEO suite.
7. Profound – no self-serve plan for brands
Profound no longer sells self-serve plans to brands (pricing). Its free trial tracks 50 preset prompts, which you can’t edit, for 7 days on ChatGPT, Gemini and AI Overviews. Enterprise contracts, on quote, cover up to nine engines, including Claude and DeepSeek. Agencies can buy a self-serve Agency Growth plan, whose base price isn’t shown, plus $399 a month per client workspace. It is built for large brands with a sales-led setup.
What these tools don’t tell you
- They sample, they don’t measure traffic. A daily check of 100 prompts shows how often an assistant mentions you for those prompts, not how many people asked them or clicked.
- Answers vary. The same prompt can return different answers from one run to the next and from one country to another; daily tracking smooths this out better than weekly.
- Prompts are yours to choose. Results are only as good as the prompts you pick: start from the questions your customers ask.
How this comparison was made
We read each vendor’s pricing, help and terms pages on October 12, 2026. When a vendor showed euros to a visitor from France, we took dollar prices from the same vendor’s own pages (help center, page code or affiliate calculator). The reference case and its costs are our calculations. Rankscale, Scrunch and HubSpot’s AEO tool weren’t verified and aren’t covered.
