Consider Colossyan when a video needs to teach a procedure, ask a question and send a result to your learning platform. For a short ad, presenter style and editing will matter more. Start with the intended deliverable: a video to watch, an interactive experience, or a package to import into a learning management system (LMS).

This guide analyzes official sources checked September 29, 2026. Colossyan links are direct, without affiliate tracking as of that date.

What Can You Create With Colossyan?

Colossyan’s Video Learning Center demonstrates a scene-based editor with scripts, avatars and narration controls. Starting points include a document, template or text (checked September 29, 2026).

Its documented interactive features include multiple-choice questions, buttons and navigation between scenes. These can direct a learner to a relevant explanation instead of requiring everyone to follow a single timeline (checked September 29, 2026).

Example project to plan: an onboarding module explains how to request system access. A question distinguishes employees from contractors, then sends each group to the appropriate instructions. Have the process owner approve those instructions before generating the video. This is an illustrative use case, not a measured result from this website.

Watch Quizzes and Branching in Action

Demonstration from Colossyan’s official channel, featured in its Video Learning Center. Author and availability checked September 29, 2026.

Watch for: how a question is added, how answers are configured and how scenes connect. The tutorial illustrates the workflow; any plan names it mentions should be checked against current pricing. The underlying decision is whether viewers need to make choices or simply watch.

How Much Does Colossyan Cost?

The official pricing page displays these USD amounts, checked September 29, 2026. They were observed from France; a US checkout and applicable taxes were not independently verified.

PlanDisplayed priceKey constraint
StarterFree20 NEO minutes/month, only 0.5 NEO2 minutes; watermark
Professional, one editor$89/month or $59/month billed annually30 NEO and 10 NEO2 minutes; watermark-free MP4; five SCORM exports/month advertised
EnterpriseCustom quoteUnlimited SCORM exports and organizational controls

The annual rate works out to $708 paid for a year, calculated from $59 × 12. It is not a cancel-anytime monthly price. Additional editors cost extra. NEO and NEO2 are different avatar models: combining their allowances overstates how much you can generate with NEO2 alone.

What Should You Check About SCORM?

The official SCORM guide distinguishes Video from Colossyan Learn: both support SCORM 1.2, while SCORM 2004 is available for Video and still on Learn’s roadmap. It also distinguishes finishing content from passing an assessment (checked September 29, 2026).

The pages conflict on eligibility: pricing includes SCORM in Professional, while the feature page still lists Enterprise for Colossyan Video. Ask the vendor to confirm the exact export and plan before committing, especially annually.

To qualify the workflow, request a sample package and import it into your own LMS. Check three outcomes: an incorrect answer does not count as a pass; closing and reopening resumes as expected; media loads under your learners’ network conditions. A successful import alone does not establish reliable tracking.

The guide describes interactive video as streamed by default, with self-contained export handled separately. An LMS that works offline does not automatically make the module available offline.

Limitations That Can Change Your Decision

The interactive video documentation says interactive videos cannot be exported as MP4. A linear video file cannot retain a clickable quiz. That help article also retains older plan names: use it for workflow guidance, rather than current subscription selection (checked September 29, 2026).

Dubbing an uploaded recording remains unclear across Colossyan’s sources. The translation page does not establish that this workflow is available for your file; the discrepancy is covered in the HeyGen alternatives guide. Translating an editor project and dubbing an existing recording are different requirements.

Colossyan or Another Tool?

  • Interactive training with learner tracking: shortlist Colossyan, subject to validating the SCORM workflow in your LMS.
  • A business presentation video: also consider Synthesia. Use the same language and script when assessing the vendors’ available demos or trials.
  • A personal video avatar or an existing recording to translate: start with the HeyGen guide and verify the features your file requires.

The deliverable should drive the decision. A more expressive presenter will not fix an export your learning platform cannot use.

For production budgets, quizzes and LMS exports, read the Synthesia vs Colossyan comparison, built around three workplace training scenarios.

FAQ

Is Colossyan Free?

Starter is advertised as a free plan. Distinguish it from the trial of paid features also mentioned by the vendor. The required final download and interactive features should determine which plan you need.

Does Colossyan Replace an LMS?

Authoring content and distributing it are separate requirements. If your organization already uses an LMS, validate integration, learner tracking and access rules before considering a replacement.

Can an MP4 Retain a Clickable Quiz?

No. Preserve interactive choices through a share link, web embed or supported SCORM export. Agree on the delivery format before building the full course.

The verdict

Worth considering for turning procedures into training. Confirm the exact export your organization needs before choosing a plan.
